Apologies

First and foremost, we offer our sincere apologies for the abrupt unavailability of the myBMI Ireland website. We know you all have come to rely on myBMI for support on your weight loss journey, and the sudden unavailability of the website has no doubt caused you unnecessary stress and concern. Particularly in light of the recurring nature of the WegovyTM medical treatment. Just like you, we are disappointed at the current situation, which has resulted in us needing to temporarily restrict access to the website.

The situation

The medicines regulator in Ireland the HPRA has engaged with us to flag compliance issues in relation to advertising of medicines which we are working to correct which should only take a number of weeks, we are committed to ensuring we follow relevant advertising and mail order supply rules and regulations so our website design and customer journey will be adjusted accordingly. Our priority remains to ensure timely access to medicines for customers on the island of Ireland. We are in ongoing discussions with the HPRA and all the relevant regulatory bodies to address concerns and explore solutions for the best interests of our patients. We apologise for the inconvenience this will undoubtedly cause, but rest assured, we will continue to update you on the situation once more information is available.

Does this mean myBMI is unregulated?

Both myBMI and its partner pharmacy, ePharmNI, are regulated by the relevant authorities and have passed all recent inspections.

What are my options?

We are currently not accepting new patients to ensure we maintain our good relationship with the regulators. For existing patients, we are making alternative arrangements in conjunction with the regulators to continue providing service for those who have already begun their weight loss journey with us. We kindly ask that you bear with us for a few more days until we get this solution live.

Can I speak to someone about this?

Yes. Please contact customer services at [email protected] should you wish to discuss this further, or if you are in immediate need of your next supply of Wegovy’.
